Controller – Accounting Department Management

Well established and rapidly expanding national/ international manufacturer of energy effecient consumer products is looking to hire a "rock star" for their financialteam. The ideal candidate will be capable of assuming responsibility for Accounting Policy & Control, Accounting department functions, financials, reports and compliance with US GAAP. Fast paced positive work environment.

Responsibilities

•Maintain Accounting Policy & Controls for Organization. Maintain relationships and control of outside internal audit process.
•Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies.
•Supervise employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting duties.
•Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
•Conduct or coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes.
•Monitor financial activities and details such as reserve levels to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
•Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending and implementing personnel actions, such as promotions and dismissals.
Qualifications

· Bachelors of Accounting degree with Masters in Accounting preferred.

· Current CPA certification desired.

· 3+ years in a Controller position, 6+ years total and a proven track record

· Excellent financial analysis and logical thinking skills.

· Advanced level in MS Office to include Excel.
