Antique wooden clipper sled painted red. Wood runners with round iron rods attached to bottom of runners. One rod is missing. On the red deck in black are two folk art Brownies boxing and a hot air balloon. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, illustrator Palmer Cox's Brownies were very popular and used to sell all kind of children's products. Size is 36" long by 11" wide by 3-1/2" high. A wonderful large hand carved wood scoop. The bare pine wood has not been stained or finished and is carved from one piece. It is approximately 16 3/4" long by 6 3/4" wide by 2 3/4" deep. It can still be used, a functional antique.

It has Dutch scenes and people. The inside of the base is embedded with the mirror image on the outside of the base. The base and top is hexagon shaped with the base 4" across and the top 2" across. Weight each is 13 ounces. Not marked. In excellent aged condition.

Early Americana Painting of a Little Girl With A Basket of Flowers
The original Early Americana painting was done of a little girl about 4 or 5 years of age from the 1800’s, based on her empire wasted dress and pantaloons. Notice the detail in her skirt and her undergarments with pulled thread eyelets and laced edging. Each features a leading hospital name in script above the visual i.e. Bethlem Hospital or Middlesex Hospital and are apparently artwork associated with the leading hospitals of the time.

The material on this even fooled us. It wasn't until we detected the velcro cushion holders, something is different. The glider is older maple in great condition. We get alot of interest in this piece and the Dictaphone. These are great pieces. This one was used in Minnesota somewhere up until about 1960. "one Ringy Dingy..." Lily Thomlin, LAUGH IN.
