Scooter is a dapper approximately 11 year old good-sized gentleman who loves to be where ever you are! He is very handsome and has that sweet mustache! He also adores his sister Samantha and would need to find a home together with her. Scooter loves to nestle in your lap while you're on the computer and he loves to be patted. He doesn't like to be picked up, but will jump in your lap and curl up there when you ask him too! He is really growing to enjoy being brushed with a Zoom Groom or comb. When his foster mom says "Bedtime!" he goes right into the bedroom and leaps onto the bed. If you are cooking in the kitchen, he likes to sit on a nearby chair and watch what you are doing. He will nibble on plants a little, so it's important you set the rules right from the start for him: ie NO PLANT NIBBLING! Both Samantha and Scooter are excellent with their litter boxes and have their front claws. The cats currently eat dry cat food free choice and enjoy seafood flavored Fancy Feast canned food (flaked or grilled). Scooter will cry when he is missing you, and as soon as he finds you, he will be happy as a clam! An adult-only home is the best for them as loud noises scare them. Scooter is frightened of the vacuum cleaner. They will need a bit of time to settle in to their new home and once they do, they will be your most loyal, loving sweethearts. Cause for Paws is a small all-volunteer Minnesota nonprofit 501 (c) (3) group whose main focus is on finding homes for stray and abandoned cats and kittens. Cause for Paws fosters these cats in our own private homes, we don't have a central facility. Upon intake, every Cause for Paws cats is examined by a veterinarian, provided with any medical care the cat may need such as dental work, blood profiles, surgery or prescriptive medicine, and is Feline leukemia/FIV tested; vaccinated against rabies and distemper good for one year; is wormed; treated with Revolution for fleas, ticks, and other parasites; is spayed or neutered; and implanted with a Home Again microchip and the chip is enrolled. Each foster family gets to know their kitties very well and the goal is to select the kitty of your dreams and the family that the cat dreams of!
