Original Oil Painting Swashbuckler Period of History Unknown Artist Beautifully Framed Painting Measures 24 1/2” X 33”
This painting seems to be from what I like to call the “Swashbuckling” period of history, i.e. the “Three Musketeers”, in more modern terms “Pirates of the Caribbean”. Since the artist is unknown it is impossible to know what the inspiration was for the painting, the outcome however is obvious.
We bought this oil painting about 15 years ago from an art dealer who also knew little of its origins. The fact that he dealt with lots of private artists lent us to believe that it was a young struggling artist somewhere.
Once we had the painting framed it really came to life and looked like something you would expect to find in a fine arts gallery or a museum featuring suits of armor and 1700’s period. Whatever it is an attractive representation of that general period and would make a fine original, one of a kind, piece of art for your home.
Note the nice texture that original paintings have in the white swatch shown. If you would like to see it in person call, 651-756-7028
