He is really starting to gain confidence around people. He is a long-haired miniature doxie who gets along wonderfully with other dogs (preferably small) and loves puppy play time. He is very playful for his age. He is curious about everything and does not seem alarmed by things many dogs seem alarmed by (vacuums and such). He does not do well with cats at all and with his little exposure to small children he is not sure what to make of them and thinks of them as playthings. He will need to be further evaluated with children. He has no resource aggression whatsoever and shares the food bowl and water dish with my dog. He likes women more when first meeting someone. He isn't sure yet about men when first meeting them and is more shy around bigger men than little men. He is now completely potty trained but you will need to watch him for signs and take him out frequently. Arnold should not be using stairs up or down or be held/picked up much. His back is sensitive. However he is very playful & active. He runs around like a puppy & loves belly rubs. In his foster home, he is almost never picked up & when he is, it is very gently & with great care as he is prone to back problems. As long as this rule is followed & he is not forced to use any stairs, Arnold does just fine & his back does not bother him.
