Fabulous Four Headed Hand Carved Lion’s Head Table Only Three Ever Made
Originally we saw this table in a feature layout in Architectural Digest Magazine. We were doing some remodeling of our home at the time and we fell in love with the table… problem was where do you find a table like this in the market place ?
After extensive searching we contacted Architectural Digest and they gave us a contact from the home where the photo shoot had been done capturing the original photo for the magazine. From there we found the original seller who told us that – only 3 were ever made – and that the only one available for sale was in Europe.
To make a long story short we located it and bought it ultimately having it shipped from Europe to our home about 30 years ago.
As you can see from the photographs this beautiful hand carved 4 headed lions table also features hand carved lion’s paw legs. Each side is exactly the same as the other. The table is carved out of close grain pine and is very solidly built.
It comes with a travertine marble off-white top, which we had cut for the table. We feel it not only enhances the look, but also protects the table. It is removable should you desire another piece of stone.
Originally we paid $6800 for this table and top, but are selling it for $2800 making it a real find and a bargain for some lucky buyer. It measures 37” square and is 17.5” tall.
